In this lecture, Meng Yan, co-founding principal of URBANUS Architecture & Design will share URBANUS’s recent work in Shenzhen, spanning from architectural projects to urban design and research, with a particular emphasis on Urban Village Coexistence, the latest publication on urban villages. The book, edited by URBANUS and bilingually published in English and Chinese by Shanghai Culture Press in 2024, collects textual and visual essays of leading thinkers on Chinese urban villages with a focus on the case of Shenzhen.
